Terms & Conditions

Appointments and trials

  • All trials and appointments must be paid for in full on the day of the appointment. If the client would like to pay via bank transfer the MUA should be made aware and the balance should be paid 48 hours before the appointment takes place. 

  • The makeup artist may request a deposit to secure the appointment. If the date or time of this appointment needs to be amended the deposit amount can be transferred to the new date.

  • If the appointment is cancelled by the MUA the deposit will be refunded unless they can offer an alternative solution.

  • If the client cancels the scheduled appointment and does not rebook the deposit amount will not be refunded.

  • If the client would like a repeat makeup trial there will be an additional fee for this.

  • Makeup trials are limited to 2 hours per person, if extra time is needed this is charged at £20 per additional 30min block subject to availability. Additional makeup needs will be carried out at the discretion of the MUA.

  • Makeup trials and appointments are carried out at the MUAs studio. If the client would like the MUA to carry out the trial/appointment at another location a mileage fee will be applied.

  • Complimentary strip lashes are included but are optional, clients are welcome to bring their own lashes if preferred. 

Weddings/events

  • The MUA will request a deposit of 25% to secure the date of the wedding. This is non-refundable.

  • If the deposit is not paid within 48 hours of request the MUA holds to right to release the date to another client. 

  • 50% of the remaining balance should be paid 1 month before the wedding date. The MUA holds the right to terminate their services if payment is not made. 

  • The total balance should be paid 7 working days before the wedding date. The MUA holds the right to terminate their services if payment is not made, any previous payments that have been made will not be refunded.

  • If the client decides to reduce the size of the bridal party less than 4 weeks before the date of the wedding the full amount will still need to be paid.

  • If the client would like to increase the size of the bridal party the additional fee will be added to the balance. An increase is subject to the MUAs availability.

  • For those who are making a last minute booking (4 weeks or less until the date of the event) the total balance will be requested in full. This should be paid 48 hours after the initial enquiry was made.

  • The MUA may bring an assistant MUA to the event if they feel this is necessary. No extra charge is required for this. 

General

  • The client has the responsibility to inform the MUA of any skin conditions or allergies in advance. The MUA does not accept liability for any skin reactions or irritations. 

  • On booking an appointment the client is accepting the MUAs terms and conditions.

  • The MUA holds the right to terminate the service if any of the terms and conditions are breached.

  • If the client wishes the MUA to use their own products there will be no reduction in the price.

  • If the client has semi-permanent lashes or brows there will not be a reduction in the price.

  • Any additional products that are purchased via the MUA should be paid for before the MUA places the order for them. If the item is unavailable the MUA will refund the full amount. If the client changes their mind the amount cannot be refunded. 

 

Travel

  • A mileage fee of 50p per mile will be applied if the makeup location is more than 10miles from Ashford, Kent. This mileage fee may increase in 2021. 

  • If the MUA needs to pay and display parking the client will need to cover the cost of this.

Cancellation policy

  • If the MUA can no longer perform services for any reason, a recommendation for a replacement will be provided.

  • The MUA is only liable to offer a 100% refund if she has had to cancel the booking and cannot provide an alternative solution.

  • If the client cancels the booking with 3 months or more notice the deposit plus 50% of any additional payments made will be retained by the MUA.

  • If the client cancels the booking with less than 3 months’ notice the deposit plus 75% of any additional payments made will be retained by the MUA.

  • If the client cancels the booking within 1 months’ notice the deposit plus 100% of any additional payments made will be retained by the MUA.

  • If the client wishes to postpone the booking to a later date all monies paid can be transferred to the new booking.

  • The cancellation policy as stated above covers any and all eventualities, for example, Acts of God.
